I am the creator of steampunk reviews, a woman in love with history, mystery, and the fine things of life, though not necessarily in that order. As a self-styled aristocrat, I've aimed to cultivate an old world (real or constructed via movies being irrelevant to me) sense of elegance and taste, and have been going to great lengths to fulfill that goal. It is my aim to live a life that is enjoyable, rather than one obsessed with being 'perfectly good for me in every way'.
Well, I guess I'll wait for the thing to turn up at the local dollar theater. And then I won't buy any popcorn. Better yet, I'll wait for it to turn up at a friend's house via Netflix and watch it for free. Yes - you can beat the system. Anyway, when you mentioned the main character sitting comatose at the end of the Sucker Punch, it reminded me of Terry Gilliam's Brazil. It's been a bazillion years since I've seen it - possibly a brazillion - but I think it shares a similar ending, and one that would normally depress me. But it didn't. Somehow, it was probably the best thing to happen, as it allowed the main character to finally beat Big Brother. Assuming you've seen it, I was thinking you might want to review Brazil sometime, as it was a bit steampunkish too - an antiquated look at the future, if you will.
